Debuting with the first video productions at the Danish Video Workshop, Haderslev 1983. Sad to project editors at the workshop in 1984 and 85. Ulf Peter Hallberg, born December 4, 1953 in Slottsstadens congregation in Malmo, is a Swedish novelist and translator. He lives in Berlin since 1983 and since 2013 he teaches creative writing at the Sorbonne University in Paris.
As a writer, he has dwelt on European identity and the individual's place in the big city. These themes will again in the novels, pedestrian glance: A European color theory (1993), the Grand Tour (2005), European garbage: Sixteen way of remembering a father (2009) and Strindberg shade in the Paris of the North (2012) and the essay collection of cities swell together Carl-Henning Wijkmark (2011). Among his other collections of essays include The meaning of life and other concerns with Erland Josephson (2010) and the Theatre-life: Draft a theater arts (2003).
2016 published two volumes with most of his translations of William Shakespeare's drama: The bloody parliament and comic confusion. In addition, Walter Benjamin and William Shakespeare, he has, among others, translated Bertolt Brecht, Roland Schimmelpfennig, Georg Büchner, Rainer Werner Fassbinder, Peter Handke, Molière, Ibsen, Franz Xaver Kroetz, Marius von Mayenburg, Friedrich Schiller, Werner Schwab, Simon Stephens and Frank Wedekind.
1992 he was awarded the Swedish Academy översättarpris for translation of Walter Benjamin, Paris, 1800s capital and the same year the Foundation Natur & Kultur översättarpris. Ulf Peter Hallberg talked summer 1994.
